I decided to go out of town for the first week of my weekly food challenge. I decided to go with my first method of deciding where to eat and traveled about 20 miles outside of Starkville, MS. I stopped at the first place open which was “The Mug”; a small family run southern restaurant located in Ackerman, MS. I went inside not knowing what to expect from my first week of food challenges. The server sat me next to door and handed me a menu, and I asked her what she their specialty was here at “The Mug.” She recommended the Hamburger Steak, and I love hamburger steak so I decided to order that.

She brought out this great plate with a hamburger steak with the works, fries, toast, and a salad bar. I of course had a sweet tea and I have to say it was just right. The hamburger steak was cooked just right and had a great gravy. The gravy was sort of sweet and when combined with seasoned hamburger steak it was perfect. As always I dipped my fries and toast in the left over gravy. Once I was finished  my meal I talked with  the owner of “The Mug” Pat Curtis who told me the history of “The Mug.” She opened the restaurant in August of 2009 after being out of the business for a while. Pat previously owned restaurants in French Camp and Weir, Mississippi. While we were talking she mentioned to me that “The Mug” offers a boot beer float in a frosty mug, and of course I had to try one. :)

I would have to say it was a great way to top off a meal. I enjoyed “The Mug” and here is my review:

Friendliness:5

Service: 4

Speed: 4

Food Quality: 5

Overall Rating: 4.5

Ok so you want to use Google Voice with your iPhone but Apple and AT&T are being mean. They block Google’s App and delete other third party apps. Well now here is a new way to get Google Voice to work on your iPhone using your address book and without jailbreaking. Here We GO!!

Go to the App store and type in: Card Call

1

Click on the first one that shows up: Card Caller-free calling card manager

2

3

Install this app.

Launch Card Caller

4

6

Once you launch the app click on “Cards”

and Click on “+Add New Card”

5

Fill in the Name as: Google Voice

Enter Your Google Voice Number

Enter Your Google Voice PIN

7

Once Once you finish entering our credentials Click on “Dialing Order” Then “Edit”

Set the Dialing order as follows. Use the “Add Pause” and “Add Custom Number” to enter the extra information.

8

It should look as follows.

9

Once it looks like this your all set and ready to use Google Voice. You can click on “Contacts” and choose a number or click on the “Keypad”

You don’t have to dial the number manually you can choose “Contacts” I just used the keypad as an example.

10

Enter Your number an click call.

11

When you hit “Call” It will give you an option to call via your iPhone or your Google Voice. When you hit Google Voice it will bring up a blue pop up message and you click “Call”It will take about 20 seconds to dial. I know this seems like a long time but sometimes when I dial regular it will take 10 second to start ringing. (Stupid AT&T) It will call your Google Voice number enter you PIN and dial the selected number automatically. IMPORTANT: you must click the # sign when the phone finishes dialing the contact’s number. The App will not do that automatically.

Hope this helps. It still isn’t the best way of doing this but it is the easiest way I’ve found. If you need anything clarified just leave a comment.

Thanks.

Please Comment Below if it Works for You.

I am a video guy but sometimes I mess with web stuff. My favorite CMS is WordPress of course. When it comes to designing  WP themes I am pretty lazy, so I usually like to use a pre-made template and tweak them. Here is a list of some good FREE WP themes that I came across the other day. Some may not really be worth tweaking and some could be used as a base for a great website. They are in no particular order. I just copied them down as I found them. I hope you like some of my choices, and please post some of your favorite themes.

P.S. I haven’t forgot about my 2nd part of my Faith post, but I procrastinate so I still have not finished it. :)

FAITH?

I have been thinking about what faith really means over the past couple of weeks. I believe that faith is what we make it, and I want to talk a little bit about what I think faith means to me. I believe that faith is Fully Absolutely Indefinitely Trusting Him. Without faith we have nothing and without God we have nothing. Faith and God go hand-in-hand. We live in a super busy world and there are many things that we are unsure of. We make tough decisions everyday and we get frustrated when things don’t go right. (or at least the way we think they should.) The reason why we get frustrated and stressed out is because we don’t have faith that God will get us through the day. We don’t Fully Absolutely Indefinitely Trust Him.

You must Fully give yourself, your thoughts, and your life to Him. You must Absolutely trust in Him and His ways. Sometimes we don’t understand why things happen to us or why they didn’t turn out for the best, but He knows the future. We must Absolutely trust Him. Never doubt what God has to say. Absolutely trust that what he says is right.  Dictionary.com says that the definition of Indefinitely is: not definite; without fixed or specified limit; unlimited. I believe that we must Trust Him without limit. I know for a long time I didn’t trust God. I didn’t think He really cared about what little ole’ me was doing. I thought that it was up to me to make the decisions in my life. I have been dealing with this uncertainty for a while. Until about two years ago I had no idea what life had in store. Granted I’m still young and just in college. I am a worrier type, and I want everything planned out and to go my way. The problem was I wanted it to go my way and not His way. Two years ago I finally just gave in and told God that he could do whatever he wants. I had FAITH. Matthew 17:20 says: “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” I know all of you have heard the faith of a mustard seed story. I’ve heard the story thousands of times and thought, “Wow, faith of a mustard seed… Move mountain…. yea right….” I even tried to move a mountain, or at least a small hill in the back yard. Let’s just say it didn’t move. I’m going to continue this post next week, but look up some different passages dealing with faith. Read them and comment. Tell me what you think Faith means to you. I will finish up this post next week and tell you a little bit about what I feel God is doing in my life.
